Why Virtual or In-Person Team Coaching with Birkman?

Most team issues are not skill problems—they’re perception and expectation problems.

Teams struggle when people:

  • Communicate past each other
  • Assume shared expectations that don’t exist
  • Misinterpret intent under pressure
  • Don’t understand how stress changes behavior

The Birkman Method provides teams with a neutral, research-backed language to discuss these differences without blame.

What Makes This Different:

  • Data-Driven: Uses the scientifically validated Birkman Method—not personality labels or surface-level styles.
  • Builds Psychological Safety: Helps team members understand what others need to feel respected, included, and effective.
  • Reduces Friction: Clarifies why miscommunication happens and how to prevent it.
  • Improves Trust & Collaboration: Teams learn to work with differences rather than around them.
  • Practical, Not Abstract: Insights are immediately applied to real team dynamics, meetings, decisions, and workflows.

Team Reporting & Group Insights

Career Upside uses real Birkman group tools and reports, not simplified summaries. These reports form the foundation for meaningful team dialogue.

Included Team Reports May Include:

  • Group Birkman Map: Visualizes team interests, usual behaviors, needs, and potential stress patterns.
  • Team Overview Report: Displays team component patterns, organizational focus, and differences in mindset.
  • Group Graph: Shows how each individual scores across nine Birkman behavioral components—making differences visible and discussable.
  • Organizational Focus Report: Reveals where the team naturally puts its energy (e.g., Operations, Strategy, Sales, Administration) and where gaps or misalignment may exist.
  • Mindset Context Reports (Optional): Explores team beliefs and attitudes in a specific context, such as strategic planning, leadership, or change. The sample report shows one person only, and team data must be combined into a group report.

These reports help teams move from “this feels hard” to “now we understand why, and what to do about it.”
